In August, I had just planned my last minute trip to Alberta. I wanted to do some shooting while I was up there, so I took a big uncomfortable step and reached out to a photographer I knew in the area (queen Jayden Campbell – see her blog post of this wedding here ) to see if she had a couple in need or wanting a wedding film. (I’m pretty sure I didn’t sleep that night cause I felt so bold!!) Let’s skip to the end, cause it obviously worked out and Selena and Chris took a chance on me which I’m so so thankful for!!
They got married on Tree Island at the Canmore Nordic Spa, with only a handful of loved ones. So many people could not be there, but thanks to this film they were able to watch it all.
As we were about to leave, Chris said something that stuck with me. “I know it’s just another day for you and that this is your job, but for us…this is the most important day, so thank you.” Cue actual tears! But really, it made me about what I do as a wedding vendor, and wow wow wow I feel so grateful.
